hi, i'm bianca

I'm a mum too. I know how fast it goes.

I've got three kids. They're teenagers and young adults now, and some days I'd give anything to go back for just one more afternoon of chubby hands and sticky kisses and little ones who wanted to be carried everywhere.

Life gets busy, and the details start to blur. The way they said certain words. How they used to fall asleep on you. But a photo can take you straight back there, and that's why I do what I do.

So why would you want them stiff and perfectly posed, looking like someone else?

I want your kids being your kids. The cheeky grin, the wild energy, the way they climb all over you and smooch your face. Your newborn's wrinkly little hands, and yes, even the peeling skin everyone worries about. It doesn't last long. None of it does.

how it started

A girl, a paddock and a film camera

When I was a kid, Dad gave me his old film camera. I'd head out into the paddock and photograph my horses and dogs for hours. Later it was those cheap film cameras from Kmart. I took one everywhere, then waited for the prints to come back.

I did film and TV in high school and loved it. After school I worked as a receptionist for a photographer. That job showed me everything I loved about photography, and a few things I'd do differently. So in 2011 I started doing it my way, as Bee Bella Photography.

I photographed Sunshine Coast families full-time for ten years. Then in 2021 life changed in a big way. I left the Coast for a couple of years and put the camera down. I worked in business management, sales and real estate. I learned a lot, but something was missing.

So I've come home to what I love most, documenting family stories. Same heart, new name: Bianca J Photography.

What it's like with me

Relaxed. Honestly. I'll give you a little direction to start, then I'll step back and wander around while you just be together. Toddler running off? Bub won't stop crying? Totally fine, I've been there myself. You don't need to know how to pose. Just bring your people.

One day your baby will be grown, and you'll wish you could rewind. You can't, but you can have these.
